Is there a way to keep my laptop lid closed, but still keep the computer screen on? i want to play music through itunes, but I also want my laptop lid closed. so i just hear music, but dont see anything because the lid is closed

Yes, in the control panel, under power, go the the "Advanced" tab, then the first is"when I close the lid".....choose "do nothing". Then you can close it and listen to music.

i dont know what kind of computer you have, but with my dell you go to the dell quick select. open that up and click on the power management wizard. click next 2 times until you get to a screen that says stand by and hibernate at the top left area. at the bottom of that screen there is 3 options. choose"when i close the display lid, my computer will:" and change the option to "no action". and click next.

1. Go to Control Panel
2. Go to Performance and Maintenance
3. Go to Power Options
4. Go to Advanced
5. Change the setting for "When I close the lid..." to "Do Nothing"

This is assuming you're running Windows

yea i can play windows media player with my lid closed, so just play your music and then close the laptop.
