If you're talking about the geography side of things, Brazil is an NIC (newly industrialized country). It has developed, and is still developing, rapidly from a reliance on the primary product coffee to the manufacture of cars.
People are migrating into large cities like Sao Paulo for work, leading to many problems like slums on the outskirts of cities and large amounts of pollution within them.
Hope this helps a bit :)

Oh, and Brazil is most densely poulated around the coast due to industry and transport links.

Urbanisation is a type of migration that occurs very frequently in Brazil. Many people leave the countryside due to push factors (factors that make them want to leave) e.g. very little government support, low income, limited job possibilities outside of farming, poor standard of education for children. They go to the city because of pull factors (factors that make them move there) e.g. free health care, good education, good wages and a wide choice of employment for unskilled workers. However, when the migrants move initially, they are very poor and often have to live on the streets/squat and steal/beg for food. Shanty towns called Favelas have built up on the outskirts of Rio de Janeiro. Poor people that cannot afford normal housing live here in houses that they have made using any materials available. They have to collect water everyday, and many have electricity as they have "stolen" it by tapping into the electricity cables running near the Favela. The children do not qualify for free education as they are illegal settlers. However, Favaledors (people living in Favelas) are usually very hard working and many try to find work by travelling into the city. Schemes have been introduced to help Favaladors start their own enterprise and make money.
