I don't think so, but I'm not sure. However, Cranberry pills will, you can get them at any drug store/wal-mart and so on. You take like 2 a day and after the first day they start making you feel better. They are cheap and really work, espcially if you don't drink a whole lot of water.

Garlic has natural antibiotics , but not enough to get rid of UTI, it is better to go to the doctor as soon as possible and get a prescription, the infection can go to your blood very fast from a UTI ( happened to me) and then things get really complicated. I am a fanatic of natural medicine and alternative medicine but this area of medicine is better to prevent that to cure in several cases and in this case.... Time to go to the doctor!! Do not even wait until Monday , go to a ER and ask for a prescription, it is not a joke situation what you are going through, your kidneys filtrate the impurities of your blood and the infection will go there very fast!!

KC I think you have a uti you keep asking questions about it. Just go to the doctor on monday. They'll give you bactrim and peridium. One is for the infection and one is for the pain. You'll take both twice a day for a week and will be all better, I promise.

I would not advise only using garlic as a means to clear a UTI, cranberry may help they benefit the kidneys and their filtration process. If you have not been diagnosed through a urinalysis or culture you may want to get one, sometimes kidney related issues mimic a UTI or you may have bladder stones caused by diet or other psysiological issues. Better to get a urinalysis first before trying any sort of self medication.

Drink lots of cranberry juice. The natural, less sugary kind ("just cranberry juice) is better if you can find it.
If that doesn't work fairly quickly, go to a doctor and get a prescription for antibiotics. Don't let an infection progress too far.

Hi KC, most likely yes, garlic capsules, works as natural antibiotic by curbing bacterial infection and its growth. But also :
* Drink good amount of cranberry juice as it one of the most simple and natural way of treating urinary tract infection. It prevents as well as heals the infection due to its medicinal properties.
* Stay away from caffeine found in coffee, tea, carbonated drinks, chocolates and many more.
* On the onset of urinary tract symptoms consume vitamin C supplements. It increases the acidity level of urine which helps to decrease the bacteria present in the urinary tract.
* You can apply a warm heating pad or hot water bottle on your abdomen to ease the pain.
* Use of spices like cinnamon and tincture mixture of herbs like buchu, uva ursi and juniper berries can act as antiseptics to clean kidney and bladder.
* Drink one glass of water for every 10 hours of the day. This will help you keep tab on the amount of water you drink.
* Avoid bladder irritants like citrus, tomatoes, aged cheese, chocolate, spicy food, caffeine, alcohol and nicotine. The irritants may differ for some individuals, but these are some of the common ones.
* Avoid tight underwear as it creates an ideal environment for undesirable bacteria to breed.

No idea. I don't think it could hurt anyway.
I usually use cranberry juice for such infections.
