No. It's not important in this setting as long as the asker/answerer can get the message across and feel comfortable about doing it. Not everybody is an English major and this site is about asking and answering questions, not criticisms and judgements.

I don't get annoyed easily. When it comes time to vote, take the spelling and grammar into consideration. If enough people do that you will see an improvement.

Don't let your personal expectations affect your attitude. as an engineer, i can runs circles around most people when it comes to hard science and math. But it really only applies to my job, not the relationships I have with people, or JQ Public.

Yes, I usually don't waste my time reading or answering their posts. Why should I waste my time deciphering their text and answering their questions if they can't spend a few minutes, or even seconds, typing slower or using capital letters?

God created spell check and some find it too had to work. Those people should have their PC privileges monitored.
