The American people do not want to return to the days of tax-and-spend policies," Bush said in his radio address.

Thats right TATERHEAD Americans love BORROW AND SPEND REPUBLICANS WHILE THE WEALTHY GET TAX CUTS. Your great grandchildren will still be paying off the
TRILLION DOLLARS that MR. TATERHEAD borrowed for his personal war in Iraq.

I think the key here is the spending--both parties need to quit it. The republicans betrayed their conservative base by increasing spending on their watch and they paid the price for it. As far as borrowing is concerning, tax revenue has actually gone up during Bush's term, as a result of the growth in the economy from both the tax cuts and the extra spending. Take some economics classes, buddy.

Edit: Looks like bellslady needs some economics classes, too.

It isn't a matter of Republican or Democrat. It's just the government in general. Tax and spend policies have been around for more years then most of us. It is wrong for the rich to get all the tax breaks while the middle and low income families have to struggle day to day to make ends meet or lose everything.

And Chef Trav...what economy do you live in because I sure don't see a growth in economy unless you are talking about he increase in illegals entering in our country.

It seems you know how to be snotty. Argumentum ad hominem is never persuasive. I am a conservative. I do not want the government to tax and spend to excess, like it has for the past 50 years. Spending too much and taxing too much are problems that have plagued the government for as long as I have been aware.
