Only use it for tuning my own cars so no need for MOT calibration. locks out after preset days and now reads 'cal days 0'. anyone know how to reset the day count or remove it alltogether?

It wants to be span gassed and re cal. You let it run for lots of time after you send into it hot moist exhaust gass that dries out the photo optic chambers. A good 4 or 5 gass needs that step and you might find the two different span gasses at some better auto parts stores. Or state emission official carrys gasses in his truck when testing shop equiptment. I had a MGA 1000 and when it became obslete I had to throw it away and what a shame chuncking a $4,500 tool I dearly loved... No better way to tune for power than carry a portable 5 gass in the car with you. Maintence and parts availbility will catch up with your too. ASK your snap on guy for a shop that has span gasses so you can recalibrate. Then buy some for your self other wiise your equiptment can be as much as 20% off measurement.
