Will a nuclear detonation on US soil be enough to wake the "heads in the sand" ostriches up?

So how far is it from point A - the DESIRE to build a bomb to point ZZZ - thermonuclear intercontinental ballistic missile that they would then be totally INSANE to use?

How many points within the process of building such a bomb could we simply take the missile site out my frightened little friend?

I get it. Bomb first and ask questions later? No, sorry, that's not the American way.

It's not about pacifism, and it's not about appeasement. Those are both failed policies, but so is this hyper-militarism under the neo-Cons. And, by the way, this time, Bush and Condi Rice are even on our side. It just makes no sense to bomb Iran right now.

It's a weak nation that couldn't even stand up to Saddam's army. But invading a country only strengthens them, because it gets the people on their side. The government in Iran isn't very popular now, but if we invade or start bombing, suddenly they will be. That's just stupid policy.

Anyway, what we really need is better intelligence. Frankly, I don't buy into any of this business about Iran being a major nuclear threat. Remember, they told us that about Saddam, too.

Why do you waste your time spreading sensationalist rhetoric when its obvious you know nothing about Iran?

Rather than being informed and taking some time to educate yourself you resort to jumping on the gun with assumptions and firing up the neconservatives' agenda of forcing coercion. There seems to be a huge disconnect when you say that Iran is a threat to the international community when really its a pluralist country with reformists and moderates who differ with the conservatives' interpretation of Iran's role in the global economy and on the world stage.

You don't see Jewish legislatures in the Majlijs supporting Hezbollah or Hamas do you?

Or even the Supreme Leader Khatami condoing the killings of an entire race?

I'm not going to educate everyone when a question like this is posted. Your argument is nothing when you don't understand reality. Be informed and read a book. I would suggest you start with Ray Takeyh's "Hidden Iran" for beginners

What difference does it make if a few people don't want to kill? That is going to upset the whole skem of things?
Trust me there is plenty of people more than willing to nuke others and fight to the death.
Soon all the countries will have the bomb and no weapon has been around that is not used.
We will all go up in a mushroom cloud.

No. The people you call pacifists and appeasers I call cowards. They are afraid to fight for what is right. Many years ago, when Soviet Communism was a major threat, these same types of people went around saying "Better Red than dead."

No, they'll continue to think the US is the biggest threat to world peace. It's quite obvious they ignore any negative actions from any other entities (almost to the point of embracing them).

They will somehow find a way to blame it on Bush. Just like they've blamed him for everything else.... Hurricane Katrina, 9/11, oil prices, corporate accounting scandals, the Israelis defending themselves agains Hamas, global warming.......

No, they will stay in denial to the last minute and blame it on some conservative conspiracy theory...

yawn...

Should they say "Bring it on"?

Yet more fear mongering from a neo-con. They seem to live in constant fear. They talk so tough yet are so afraid of everything and everyone around them.

Much like 5 deferment Cheney. The ultimate cowardly, neo-con. The Fox News, daily, fear fest works wonders on these neo-cons. Just look at this post. "Be afraid. Be very afraid". This is all they spew, day in and day out.

Why are neo-cons so easily frightened? They own a trillion firearms yet they still walk in fear. They base EVERY decision on fear and greed.

Man-up neo-cons. Turn off False News and stop living in fear every hour of every day.
