it depends on what i'm depressed over....generally i'll just smoke a bowl and become distracteed in the music i'm listening to. if i'm really depressed over my boyfriend and think that i am not getting enough attention, i have to admit, i have this one guy that i contact! that usually makes me feel better

Allow myself to be depressed for a little while, have a good cry, eat some chocolate, take a nap, then it usually runs it's course.
If not, take some action to change my mood such as work on a solution to the problem that is getting me down. If that doesn't work - more chocolate!
Humor works wonders. Thinking about something that made me laugh always cheers me up.

talk to your friends, do something you enjoy,
somebody even told me that smiling even when you don't want to makes you happy
sounds weird huh...haha
well, um, you can do a lot of other stuff
ask friends or family to hang out and go places
go to amusement parks, dinner, lunch, anywhere
that you think will let you have fun
by the way: one of my best sources are music ;]

-go to the park and swing
-go to the library and read books in the library all afternoon

Go to a pet store and ask if you can hold one of the puppies! It always cheers me up!

I do a lot of different things but what works best for me is staying busy...I immerse myself in studying, reading, household chores, etc., and it takes my mind off of what I'm upset about. An ice cold Dr. Pepper works wonders too! :-)

I get a fresh new outfit, put on some makeup, and I'll spoil myself for the day (manicure, shopping, ect.) sometimes you gotta pamper yourself.

shopping and music. lately Before He Cheats by Carrie Underwood always makes me feel better. I am happily married and haven't been cheated on. Weird, I know.
