First, is your RV already started to rust, badly, underneath? If so, you need to look into repairs, NOW. Don't wait until repairs can't be made. If you move this RV around in snow and ice, it may get salt on it if your area puts salt down. In this case, you should wash the underneath with water to get rid of salt.

You haven't said what kind of RV you have. Is it a trailer or a motorhome? Most RV's have an undercoating of some type. Every RV I've owned since 1990, 5th wheels, has had a woven, plastic coated covering underneath. This protects the frame rails, but you will need to keep an eye on all penetrations and keep them sealed with a good undercoating type caulk.

Inspect your RV for rust and do preventive maintenance on it. Brush light rust off with a stiff wire brush and paint the surface with a rust preventative paint such as Rustoleum. I would use a can and brush over spray type. You will use less, get a thicker coat and spend less money.

As for repairs, look at RV dealers for repairs. They are better equipted to handle RV repairs. Be prepaired to spend $100 per hour for work at one of these shops.
