Well you cant really say that Lidge sucks, because look at what he did in 2005. He has just hit a bad slump. It's 90% mental with Lidge. He just not focusing enough. He is also leaving to many balls over the plate, thinking he is unhittable. Definatley do not trade him. They did a good job by taking him out the closers role. Now they just need to send him down to Triple A, let him regain his confidence, let him show himself that he is capable of doing a good job, and then he should be alright.

i believe lidge shouldve been traded since last year! however he has been having a decent year in 07. what concerns me the most is are the astros getting what they are paying for? lidge is scheduled to make 5.3 milliion this year! I would think that the astros would be content with chad qualls but when it come down to it Lidge has the best ERA on the team, and the astros have stated that they have no interest in trading him. Lidge has never been the same since he met Albert Pujols in the WS, but has shown signs of coming out of his slump. If the astros did trade Lidge, it would be a mistake due to the progress that Lidge is making. In the end he should return to the form which brought him his fame and be as dominant as he was.

lidge can be relyable and then again, he screws up some things. i think we should give him a little more time for him to prove that he's worthy of being on our team. it's not just lidge that screws things up. the astros haven't been doing all that great this season. but carlos lee is pretty sick. i hope i could answer your question good! from one astros fan to the next!

I am a big NY Yankee fan and I would take Brad Lidge in a second. Mariano Rivera is one of the best closers in history but he needs help. The Yankees need help in their bullpen and proctor and farnsworth scare me, they are just not reliable everyday. Watch out Boston the Yanks are coming!!!!!!

I like lidge but he has no mental. He has a great fastball but he can't control it. I think they should give him a month to get it together. If they don't tradeeeeeeeeeeeee.
