Last week I was queueing at a railway ticket office. Friday evening, desperate to get home. I'd been standing there patiently for 20 minutes and I was 4 from the front when a Swedish tourist barged her way to the front brandishing a whole sheaf of railcards for her party - and the next person in line let her in! The wretched *queue jumper* then embarked on a 15 minute transaction. Result - I missed my train. We were all seething, you could have cut the atmosphere with a breadknife - but she was breezily nonchalant as she walked off with her tickets with plenty of time still to go before her train left to take her queuejumping hide back to Sweden. Even now, my heart beats with repressed anger to think about it. Is there anything that gets your goat like that and leaves you dumbstruck, indignant but utterly powerless to respond?

I'm hearing a lot of anger there, Mr Canada. I like that motto, it's very much my philosophy too.

Anna - thanks, that is a very profound thought ... I think I will have to take that away and try to see if I can make it work for me.

Rudeness, just the manners of people in general.

Not so long ago I went to London to work and being the first time using the underground I stood on the platform with everyone else. When the train arrived I stood back and politely said to an elderly man next to me "after you", I was trampled on, I stood up, dusted myself off and the train doors shut leaving me alone on the platform.

On my way home an elderly lady in a wheelchair was having trouble. No-one bothered with her. I heaved the wheelchair with one arm onto the escalator, hanging onto her with my other arm, we struggled to the top, I set up the wheelchair, helped her into it, wheeled her to the exit and asked if she needed any further assistance. She turned and growled at me to f... off and disappeared into the crowd after deliberately running over my foot.

Just two examples of what seems to consist of my life.

I actually get my goat and am constantly left thunderstruck at how stupid I am, I never seem to learn. I leave myself dumbstruck, indignant but seemingly utterly powerless to stop myself doing these things. The only thing I can say in my defence is that I have a lot of friends who always ask me for my latest 'adventure' and are in absolute fits of laughter when I relate the latest escapade.

I think I would rather be me than them.

Yeah, I don't like it when people cut in line either. The other people in line can't really do anything about it because if anyone attempts to tackle that queue jumper, they lose their spot in line ... and probably get arrested as well! I'm sorry to hear that you ended up missing your train though!

The thing that really gets my goat is when people don't work as hard as they should. For example, I hate it when people have to work on a project, paper, or something like that together, and almost everyone is working hard--everyone except for the one person who is checking their e-mail, texting their friends on their handy, playing a game on their handy, or anything else that is not contributing to the team's project. As a university student, I've had that experience way too many times! I used to think that only good students made it to uni, but I guess that some lazy ones manage to get in also.

Reminds me of an airline trip...I had a great seat with lots of room..but at the very last minute a pompous b***** comes on with a dog so i have to move. Interestingly, she left her $300 glasses in the bathroom and someone picked them up. She was asking for her glasses back as people were getting off the plane LOL!!! Almost makes me believe in karma

And no, I didnt take them.

I sympathise with you , Cosimo. The Swedes can be absolute turnips at times.

I get annoyed when I see on TV unoccupied seats at "sold out" concerts or matches. especially when I could have gone myself.

Or when the driver in the car behind hoots as the traffic lights change. (I have been known to stop until the lights change colour again)

What doesn't p|ss me off?

- If a person's opinion isn't the same as mine, I want to bash their head in

- If I hear someone making noise in my block, I want to bash their head in

- If I have to wait for ANYTHING, I feel an urge to get violent

- Feel like using your car horn in traffic? Better make sure I'm not around, or I'll come after you with every weapon at my disposal

- Going to make a deposit at a cash point and think you can take all f*cking day doing it?? At first, I'll tap my feet and sigh a lot. That's you're 30-second warning., If you're not done your banking by then, I am going to harrass you.

- If someone tries to threatne me in any way, they get it back 10 fold worse from me.

My motto: "Treat me well, I'll treat you better. Treat me poorly, I treat you worse."

i admire #a million with the aid of fact it particularly is a broken goat and it has a tattoo of that is very own it is super-stunning...yet i might like it extra appropriate if the line paintings replaced into extra suitable like it particularly is in #3. #3 could be my 2nd selection over all.

If you keep your cattle on a thousand hills, it's not so easy for someone to get your goat.
