try Google Earth. Go to www.google.com click more and google earth should be on the page. Download the file, open it, and then zoom in on the part of the earth you live in. this is very accurate, terrorists in the middle east and Africa were using it to identify US base camps that might be eligible for attack.

download google earth or go to http://maps.google.com
in some areas, it goes into great detail. I can see a blue car outside my own house, and identify the pond and garden swing in Mum's back Garden.
the maps are not totally up-to-date, though and a couple of seperate areas I can identify seem to indicate that the pictures are from 2001 or 2002

If you want an image of it try googlemaps.com, type in where you live and you can should be able to see your house.

Note that these images are not in real time, they are like months old perhaps, so you won't be able to see yourself, and on the map click the satellite tab for the real image.

do a google search for nasa. get a contact number and give them a ring. when you get through ask for prices to obtain a detailed picture of the area you require from one of their observation sattelites.
the resolution from one of these is much more detailed than google earth.
good luck
