Music has been an integral part of my life for as long as I have memory, acting as bookmarks to points in time. Standards such a s Bennet, Sinatra, and Martin with my parents. AM pop tunes and the Beatles as a pre-teen. Elton, the Who, Zeppelin and disco for my HS and college years. New Wave as a young adult. Jazz and blues throughout. And so many songs that remind me of the places I've been, the thngs I've experienced, and the people I've shared them with.
My car stereo went on the fritz three weeks ago, and I broke down today and bought a new one to be installed this week. I just couldn;t stand it anymore.
Yep, I can live without TV...I can live without movies or books...I can even live without love. But music? Essential as the air I breathe.

My world would be pretty miserable without music. It's what cheers me up and calms me down when I've had a very hard day. I could not imagine my life without music.
