because i have this modem.which suks like wow.but it still works and everything,but i dont want it anymore.and they're coming today.later on.but i need an excuse or a reason so they can change it.any suggestions?

Tell you ISP that the modem is not working well and that its connection speed is a heck of a lot lower than they advertise.
Give them an ultimatum that either they change it or you will cancel the Account promptly.

Tell them that the modem keeps crashing on you. I have the same problem and I constantly have to unplug all of the wires and plug them back in so that I can get back on line.

fry it, if its 110V plug it on 220V, or vice versa
