Hey Fred Thompson supporters - why do you consider him so "Authentic"?

Maybe some Thompson supporters will have the guts to answer me this time.

Don't you realize he has worked as a high-paid lobbyist for years, wearing $2,000 suits and driving politicians to expensive dinners at the finest restaurants in his black Cadillac limo.

Do you just look at him wearing a cowboy hat, spinning stories about Sam Houston that Tennesee twang while driving a leased, red pick-up truck and say, "Wow, how authentic is THAT!"

Dudes - why are you saying that Thompson is no different than other candidates. You are supposed to be showing me how he is different than them.

Fred is a good actor (Liar?) and that's what makes him a good politician. He's good at fooling people. Beyond the cute act you mentioned what other qualifications does this guy have to be President? None.

He is already a paid actor, no pretense. Unlike some of the other politicians we have. He is also a highly paid actor. He can afford his expensive suits, boots, cowboy hats and private jets if he so desires. Would you not if given a choice? He runs with the A list celebrity.
Now, do u feel that Hillary asking for a million a week from u and me working poor is right to support her habits? She is also wealthy, Bill took in over 40 mil in public speaking engagements last year alone. It will be a long while b4 we see those tax filings made public, but they will leak, be sure of it.
Her jet trips to campaign events are paid for by her contributions not her private funds. Although there is some question how much will switch hands b4 the election is done. John McCain worked hard on this thing called Campaign Reform Bill but some pay little attention to it. There is no accountability. It is a sure thing HIllbill will make the General and they start all over. Who's counting anyway? By the time paperwork gets generated she could be President and hide the facts as did her husband. Not just a job B folks. He was disbarred from practicing law because of lies to a Grand Jury. Trouble was he had the lady Judge in the hip pocket. Watch who is in Hill's cabinet and what debts are paid in '09. Too late for US.

Fred Thompson is a light in a dark lonely tunnel toward a repeat disaster known as a Clinton administration. He is the real deal. I take that over Camelot any day. WJ prides himself on being like JFK. Only in the marital infidelity category does he qualify.

Dude, I just did? Thompson has experience, clout and dedication. Politicans always have a similar strain running thru their veins. It takes that to run and put up with all the BS. Some ego too, all part of the territory. But Fred is REAL. Shoots from the hip not from the lip as you might say. It's early yet too. We have heard little of his platforms. You have to wait which is exactly why we got slammed into an early election season in the first place. Many won't, if they Vote at all. They will go Hillary Clinton. That is the name they know. Does not matter her politics.

Having unlimited campaign financing by the power elite gives one a lot of legitimacy in modern politics. Not to mention the media cooperation and coverage that comes with backing by the power elite. Plus the attack dogs that have promised to ruthlessly go after opposition. The best campaign ads and publicity stunts than money can buy. Then there are the various intelligence agents and their disinformation specialists to hound opposing forces while extolling the virtues of the Thompson | Giuliano public veneer.

They have a very large mathemtical problem however. No backing from the Christian base that bought into the Bush public veneer. It will take a crisis to scare the public into voting for more wars, police state, and dedication to the improved standing of the power elite.

You say this like it's unique to Fred Thompson. ALL politicians are nothing but a collection of PR stunts, photo ops, and sound bites.

Do you honestly think that someone like Hillary Clinton or John Edwards is a genuine person? There are no bigger hypocrites in the world than John Edwards and Al Gore.

So, yes, Thompson is "fronting", but so are they all.

And Hillary doesn't wear $3,000 designer suits , or John Edwards has $400 hair cuts and made his money being an ambulance chaser. Yes I know he was a lobbyist but I also know he was an congressional aide to one to the most respected legislators in the Watergate era (Howard Baker) when most politicians were seen as dirty. And his own career as a US Senator was free from any issues of ethical violations.

It appears that you do not like Thompson. He is our best chance to beat the Democrats. President are not elected by the stands he takes on any cause but because he is perceived as a leader. His presents on Law and Order has given him notability. When it comes down to it the election of a president is a popularity contest. Besides he is the best we conservatives have., the only than can beat that hillary.

First of all, he has the money, so why not wear expensive suits? Also, how on earth do you know the exact cost of his suits? Did you see a receipt? Who cares.

He has it right on Iraq, on abortion, immigration, gay rights and more. He is the best candidate and his authenticity will be proven the further we get into this election. Just wait and see. You just gotta feel it, we can't explain it. :)

They all work as lobbyists, and they all get their sons and daughters and other relatives to work as lobbyists, they all try to make them selves rich and their relatives rich, and if you were up their you would do the same thing, so it doesn't matter who you support they all are typical politicians.
