I have osteoarthritis. Today is not a good day because of the weather - really killing my knees. I would love to see a section just for OA.

Try taking Ranitidine along with NSAID. It is advisable to shed a few kilos for those who are a little over weight. If Ranitidine doesn't work, ask your doctor for PPI. And yes, this is the right time to control your Arthritis as you mentioned that it is a minor arthritic pain. Cheers.

I was just diagnosed this week with osteo arthritis and the doctor has said I am probably ready for a new knee. I am not going to do it until I know a whole lot more than I do now. Maybe a special site would be good. I don't hurt much today but it a very sunny dry day.

When I wake up in the morning, I count the bones that do not hurt. There are only a few to count compared to the ones that are arthritic. Regarding the second part of your question, I do not think it is a good idea for having a separate section for arthritis, because there are many individuals not trained in medicine who will post "cures" and "advice" which are useless.

I have very bad arthritis. As a matter of fact the Rheumatoid arthritis I have could cripple me, it is an auto immune disease. I look ok, but my bad days are so bad that I can't get out of bed for hours. It can take me 1/2 hour just to get to my feet. Yahoo has a couple of groups just for RA, one is called RA Support. People with OA arthritis as well as Lupus, Fibro, and other auto immune problems are welcome to this group. The moderator, Gina, will do research if you have a question. Check it out under Yahoo Groups. I'm not sure what a separate group on here would do, but if there was one, I'd be sure to go to it.
