Is the noise level excessive at movie theaters? Survey by age group?

Please give opinion and age group only, so as not to violate anyone's privacy.
13-17 18-24 25-35 36-43 44-49 50-60 61+
Would enjoy watching movies in public if the volume was a little less. I like surround sound just as much as the next person.
This is why I would rather rent a movie.

Sometimes the noise is excessive. It all depends on which movie you go to and at which times. I almost never see a movie the week it opens. I like to wait a couple weeks and then see it. Much smaller crowd and easier to get a seat that you actually want. Although, unless I really want to see it, I'll wait to it comes out to DVD and rent/buy it.

So humorous, when I went to work out a movie with a chum, yet knew i became drained, no vast deal. i did not understand till per week later even if, when I went to work out that exact same action picture with my daughter, that I had neglected 0.5 the action picture the first time I spoke of it. So I noted as my chum and requested " So did I snore?" She laughed and suggested no yet her shoulder became my pillow with the help of many of the action picture!LOL!

13-17, yes sometimes I think it is too excessive I do not really mind when people whisper, but I get annoyed when they talk loudly, or even in a normal voice.

I think that depending on where you sit it can be a little excessive.
Well that along with what type of film you go see, some of the movies with more action tend to seem louder to me than others, like dramas.

13-17 I think all little children should be put in a seperate theater. Also PEOPLE PUT YOUR PHONES ON VIBRATE AND IF YOU GET A CALL AND ANSWER IT, LEAVE THE THEATER TO TALK!!!

At the beginning it is rather excessive...but once you get used to it, it's not so bad.
