who is non other than Mahela Jayawardene of Sri Lanka?
why do you ask sucha question after when even he was awarded the BEST CAPTAIN by the ICC?
He has proved it in the WorldCup & the Afro-Asia trophy.

Icc had chosen him as the best captain and gave the award for the best captain .He proved him self by takinf Sri Lanka in to the WC Finals .A great example for his captaincy is the way he had lead the Asian team to a 3-0 victory.

mahela. jeez he's definitely on fire. he never leaves a game without scoring 40+. he was aiming for more 100s and he got one on the final game of the afro-asia cup. he sure is the best captain because sri lanka was not-all-that 2 years ago, but mahela somehow deployed his magic and got them through to the world cup finals. that's some achievement. no wonder why he got the "Best Captain of the year" and "Captain of the World ODI Team" award at the ICC Awards 2006 award. love him! he's brill!
