my mum never remembers important things that i need - she knows i have my period but never remembers to get me pads etc its like she doesnt even care. every month i have to ask her to buy me some and if i dont ask because i have some left over from last month she doesnt get me any, so i could probably go for years without pads if i didnt ask for them. isnt it a bit weird for your own mum to forget about essential needs like this? (women only please). thank you

yes, if she hasnt always been like that then she probably has stuff on her mind, but if she always has than its just her. your probably younger so it might be embarassing getting yourself some but try it, dont rely on her. she may realise she is forgeting, or even talk to her about it, maybe theres something you dont know about going on.hope that helps a bit

Does your mom still have her periods? I bet she doesn't, because if she did, then there would be plenty of pads in the house. That is probably why you have to remind her. You are the only one using them! If this is the case, make your mom a note each time she goes to the grocery store to get the pads. Like for example I keep a pad on the frig for my grocery list that we add to as things run out. That would be a great idea for your family, and a great place for you to write your pads on as you need more. Then mom could just pick them up on her regular grocery store trip.

Do you have an allowance? Buy your own.

Have your mom get pads before you are due for your period.

It is not weird for your mom to forget about it, YOU are the one having the period and know how often you have it so you should be reminding her prior to getting your period or going out and getting it yourself.
