1. Education
2. Government Spending (decisions on what programs are needed and what the level of funding that is needed for them)
3. Foreign Policy/Defense
At this time no candidate of either party has come completely out with all their data that I would say they are exactly what I see is needed for all these areas but I am leaning to either Mitt Romney or Fred Thompson (It is tougher with Thompson as he has not campaigned so we are basing things on his Senate record when many items that are on the table now were not being discussed.)

The three compelling problems America faces is definitive National and International Leadership. The type of leadership would be Consensus building leadership, like the first President Bush concerning the Iraq War.
The second, issue is public education. We are failing to educate our children to compete in a global market, this would be inclusive of State funding formulas that have been found to be unconstitutional, yet the State legislatures have not provided remedy. The State of Ohio is a good example. We are now siphoning money into Charter Schools that do not have similar accountabilities as Public Schools. This realy needs to be looked into by CNN, great story!
The third issue is National Debt. We owe China, Japan and Britain. By paying back China we are funding our rival. Being in debt does not put this country in a position of strength.
At this point, none of the Presidents are best equipped to lead on these issues. We do not know enough about them on the many issues that we face. I could not tell you their positions on the following:
Building a Missile Defense System near Russia why is this necessary?
Leadership on Energy policies and retirement accounts?
What do we do with these wars on two fronts? Iraq and Afghanistan.
I hear from military brass the U.S. Army is broken, now what?!
Tell us about the oil rigs off of the coast of Louisiana, when will the Gulf States see this money that has been previously been considered international waters/profits?
Have we corrected the voting machine problems throughout the country?
Whoever, can rise to the top and make known a clear articulation of the issues and provide mechanical solutions, with less rhetoric will be my man or woman to be President

1) Abortion... The fact that so many children will never get a chance to make a difference in the world is bad enough, but the emotional (and sometimes physical) damage to the would-have-been mothers is almost worse.
2) Education... I think we all know the educational system is sliding. Bush made some steps but more need to be taken. People are pushing standards lower instead of pushing kids to excel.
3) I'll have to think about that one. There are a few.
SAM BROWNBACK. I know the Christian viewpoint will probably turn some people off, but he's a great guy with some great ideas and the ability to make things happen, and I think he'd do an excellent job as President given the chance.

It is extremely hard to pin it down to just three. There are just so many issues. Social services for and the constant influx of illegal immigrants is certainly a major concern. It is a financial problem that is deeply affecting the pockets of true American citizens. Also high on the list is this country's involvement in a war this is slowly becoming another Viet Nam. We are pouring billions of dollars and killing our American troops for a war that does not appear justified or within any practical solution in sight. My third priority would probably be the devious, corrupt and out-of-control political system itself. We rant about other countries policies while our own system is slowly, but very steadily taking rights away from citizens, draining the pockets of the middle income citizens to provide freebies to the illegals and the mega rich corporate world and allowing our educational system nationwide to become not much better than that of a third world nation.
As for who would be the ideal candidate to resolve all of these issues, I am very hard pressed to find any of the current applicants as skilled enough to make the extensive changes this country so desperately needs.

There are only two serious questions that faces America my dear,
1. How come the politician can not truly solve a problem, and why do they just pass it off to the next generation, regardless of the party they belong to.
2. Why do politicians complain about the cost of the war for the last 5 years, when the retirement benefits for these people in 1.5 years could of paid for the whole war to date and had left over money. This includes congressmen and senators who have only served one term. So they get paid to pass on problems. Isn't that a problem?

1. Dependence on oil - a very dirty fuel to use. We should do what the French have done and use nuclear power.
2. Bush and his good ol' boy mentality that things are just fine the way they are - the war, the growing disparity between the very rich and the very poor, the trashing of the environment and just about everything else. I just cringe every time he opens his mouth. At least it's easy to know when he is lying...because his lips are moving!
3. Education - our teachers are not paid enough so the quality of education suffers.

in case you ask a query like this you may substantiate your information with shown information. I even have toured the international and have faith me the US isn't as violent as you would be able to think of. you may take an over all seem in any respect 50 states to instruct your violence archives. we've some substantial cities with odd violence yet in an overalll seem we're not extra violent than different international places.

Education - American kids are getting dumber...the board of ed. are really watering down those regents. We have more colored people working as doctors and lawyers.
Poverty - the gap between the poor and the rich. Bill Gates is getting richer and we're getting poorer.
Government - why the hell are we STILLLLL in Iraq?
