Most definitely. In my own case, it was drilled into me that I should "save" myself for the right man and that men never respect women who sleep around.
In the case of my own daughters, born in the 70s, I had a similar doctrine to my own mother but, sadly, it didn't work in their early teens. I think they found my view of morality pretty old-fashioned and certainly undertook risky behaviour that I found shocking at times. They believed (and still do) in equality of the sexes and if men can put it about, so can women!!
Still... as the years have passed and my daughters have reached their 30s, they have both settled down with good men and I now have 3 beautiful grandaughters ( who I will similarly worry about when they hit their teens). Their days of putting it about are at an end and so maybe as their mother, I did teach them morals?

Most REAL MOMS do, yes.. some women who have been given a gift of a child are not what u would call MOMS and they dont always do the right thing. Me personally, I wasnt always told the right thing or taught morals, but you learn you see others and you learn by the good examples set before you!

Both parents should teach there kids what is right and wrong. My parents taught me. Kids learn more from what they see so the parents should also do what is right so the child will learn more.
Today parents are not taking an active role in the kids life and they need to and spend more time with the child.

I think they try to teach them right from wrong, but most never teach them about sex. And they certainly don't teach their sons (which is why so many abandon their GFs when they find out they are pregnant because they didn't use a condom).

my mom always did, and still does.
ever since i was little, she would tell me stories and then explain morality to me, such as , why did you think that little boy was sorry for what he did?
Now as i am older, we still talk, though now the topics are more complex, such a politicians and things we see in the news, mothers and daughters should always have that special bond in my opinion.

Whether the mother wants to or not, YES. Kids are always paying attention to their parents.
