When was the last time you truly cared about a person you didn't even know existed?

People trust politicians because it is human nature to rally around a leader.

Throughout history people are always clamoring for a "king" to lead them but because our leaders are human, too, the masss often eat their words later.

Our nation is founded on the credibility of individuals working toward a common good and the will of the people. That is why democracy was formed. Unfortunately in 2007 few of the concepts apply. The Constitution is up for debate and our leaders are not examples of morality and fortitude as were our founding Fathers. Happy Father's Day, by the way.
Mark Foley and pages, Clinton and interns, Bush and maybe some shady oil deals ??? Nothing pr oven yet on GW, except his is as our system now works, guilty until proven innocent.
I've been in politics for many years. Trust is a word tossed about and generally never a follow thru. 100 days of a Democratic Congress & House yet??? Where are the goods?
I know for sure I no longer believe in the two party system. I am a card carrying Republican and can't stand any of them right now, either aisle.
What I do believe in is someone who stands by their convictions. Right or wrong in my eyes. I believe in George Bush for those very reasons and even Rosie O'Donnell. Two very different characters. Strong individuals. Now do I know they exist? I see them on TV. I read blogs and research alot of info.
I have lost faith in Obama. I don't like anybody on either side. I like Fred Thompson and believe Al Gore is now ready if he would only run. He was a puppet b4 and on his own has done miracles. Hillbill, God help us all. Those people instill distrust. If America does not wake up we are doomed for more indignent lies and deception, what next Chelsea in for 4 after ?

If you vote for someone it's because the platform they ran on met more of your requirements than the other candidates who were running and you can only hope that they keep their word, once in office.

If they don't, you're screwed. I've lost faith and trust in just about every politician out there. I think we need to hook their butts up to lie detectors every time they make a speech.

I have to disagree, I do not know of many who have faith in congress, unless they have faith that congress is going to screw over AMericans.

Where you referring to politicians in general, or congress or president?

I believe people have faith in the person they voted for President because of a false belief that the Pres has the power to correct the wrongs of Congress. The Pres is neutered for the most part by the Court and Congress. Congress is on a constant power grab and AMericans fear them, they want to get rid of career people in congress, just not their career guy.

For change to occur in America, real positive change, we are going to have to change congress from career politicians back to citizen legislators, which is what it should be.

I agree a hundred%. And our prayers have been replied. i think strongly in prayer. i don't think of it particularly is a twist of fate that Obama is our president. My faith isn't in Obama, my faith is in God's potential to place the the main suitable option human beings interior the the main suitable option positions on the the main suitable option time interior the the main suitable option place. there is not any such subject as faith if it is not faith in God, human beings make errors God would not. Obama and his administration are in simple terms God's techniques. issues do not get finished in simple terms in view which you have faith in god although, you're able to fulfill him 0.5 way. Obama has faith IN god. He talks approximately it continuously. he's the the main suitable option man or woman interior the the main suitable option place on the the main suitable option time.

It isnt trust. With Authority comes Accountability. They have put themselves in positions where they tell us what is right and wrong, then hold themselves to a different standard, writing bad checks and sending obscene emails to underage boys. They have to be held accountable for their deeds as well as their words.

And how can you possibly feel anything for an etheral someone out there? There is nothing so I feel nothing. Point to someone specifically and Ill tell you how I feel about them.

People tend to put their trust in politicians because they don't have anything else, or anyone else to put their trust in.

Politicians are not to be trusted

There is only one you can trust, and that's God.

Jehovah God is allowing this pathetic system of things to exist to prove to mankind that man can not rule himself. No human can ever solve all of mankind's problems.

Only Jehovah God can do that.

When he brings the end of this system of things, he will let Jesus Christ and 144 000 Anointed ones rule over a Paradise Earth on which we will live as perfect human beings. Just as Adam and Eve were intended to do originally.

The bible says death will be no more and the meek will inherit the earth and live upon it forever.

The heaven and hell doctrines are false teachings propagated by the Catholic church and adopted by other churches later.

Wisdom to the world is foolishness to God.

well, i dont agree that you cant care about people whom you dont know. thats a little too cynical for me.

but i dont know anyone anymore who has faith in their politicians. obviously we've got some problems, which i think term limits, campaign spending limits, salary limits and government power limits could help to remove.
