Circa 1876

Kitty Russell was at a table in her saloon talking with Doc and Festus......"I'm trying to find a way to liven things up in here. Who knows, it just may liven up my life!!" She took another sip of her drink.
Doc:"Well, as your personal physician I can GUARANTEE you that alcohol is not your ticket to an exciting,fulfilled life!"

Elvis:"Evening Miss Kitty......Doc. Festus. My I join you?"
He told them how the troupe he had been with had folded. He was looking for a job....Was miss Kitty hiring?
Festus: " Why, you're nothing more than.....Mister....(2.) You're the Devil in Disguise!! You a' shakin' you whoos wah and such!!"
Kitty:"Festus. Hush up!! His whoos wah sold a lot of beers the last time he was here!!" Everyone laughed. Festus got up, put his nose in the air, and left!

Elvis:"Miss Kitty. The last saloon I played in put me up at the
(3.) Heartbreak Hotel.....cockroaches,rats and women of questionable character. Is The Dodge House any better?"
Kitty:"Well, no bugs or vermin. It does have it's share of whor**, tho." She paused and looked at Elvis (To herself:" You(4.)Big Hunk O' Love.") Out loud......."Forget the hotel, you're welcome to stay here."
Doc shot her a scornful stare.
Kitty:DOC!!! I have have an extra room.....GAWD!!! Give me a little credit for decency."
Elvis accepted her offer and smiled: " Well thank you. Thank you very much."

The night of his big performance, Kitty placed a (6.) Good Luck Charm in his pocket. He was a bit surprised to have her hand in his pocket.....His pants being so tight and all!
Several of the customers were whispering:
"Shameful. Perfectly shameful."
"Look at those tight pants. Lordy! Lordy! Her hand is in his pocket!!"
"They say his room is RIGHT next to hers!!"
"I've heard that there is a connecting door!!"

And then came the magic moment:

All the men thought he was ridiculous. Every woman wished that he was theirs.

Once upon a time I was travelling the Southern States of America and everywhere I went, I heard some Dixieland Jazz. Oh of course that's what I would be hearing! But one day I stopped at the Heartbreak Hotel where I heard Dixieland Rock. I was bemused. I stood still for a while listening and when it stopped I said: "You're the devil in disguise!" I have no clue why I said that. And the next minute around the corner came a big hunk o'love. My knees went lame and I was short of breath. And no, it was not because of the song or the devil in disguise, it was because of the big hunk... tall dark and handsome, I just loved him. But everybody around me saw that and started to warn me one by one. I left the heartbreak hotel, suddenly realising why it's called the heartbreak hotel and with a few tears in my eyes I realised that people around here all have suspicious minds. But big hunk o'love followed me to give me a goodbye hug... or was it a goodbye hug? Because still stunned after the hug, I was left behind with a good luck charm in my hand...

That first time, I seen you you walk in the room, thought, sweet buns, you can eat crackers in my bed any ole time, just knew you were one- BIG HUNK O" LOVE- and that through your travels you've left more than one woman, standing alone at-HEARTBREAK HOTEL-. Watched you the next month or so, trying to figure out what you prefer, not that I'm of-SUSPICIOUS MINDS- but knew you'd be a tuff nut to crack.
Sixth week, of going to the same club, the band was playing- YOUR THE DEVIL IN DISGUISE- here you come up to me, all sweet and smelling sexy as can be, asking me, if maybe we weren't meant to be, and I could be your -GOOD LUCK CHARM- yeh, right, you who had all the girls hanging on your every word, your sleek moves, baby , you had the moves and knew it. Well, I'd been played before, was not ready to fall between the sheets with you so fast. Told you, when I come here with my girlfriends, we all leave together, no guy splits us up. The look on your face, never will forget. Two months later, me dancing my knee caps off to-DIXIE LAND ROCK-music, having the time of my life, Flashed me that million dollar smile, asked me for a dance and a supper date for the following week-end. You've proved to be all I knew you would be, and even more, so sweet buns, as we sit and watch our grand babies play, any regrets?

Walking into ''Heartbreak Hotel'' with ''suspicious minds'', the women went straight up to room #123.
Their ''big hunk o' love'' opened the door and they both shouted, ''You're the devil in disguise!!"
With their ''good luck charm'', they both succeeded in chasing his lover, ''Dixieland Rock'', out of the room.............. :)
