Ever since my friends found out i was a lesbian, many didnt want to be my friend anymore. And a lot of people at school that i dont even know started to ****** me out just because i like girls. Is it really any of there business? I dont get why people go out of there way to make me feel bad. I did nothing to them.

You know what? You're right. There are people in this world that do the same thing to other people who are gay, lesbian, bi, or transexual. And you aren't alone. Here's why:

If your friends were really your friends, they would accept you no matter what. To tell you the truth, you are better off without them. But don't let people's hatred toward your stance get you down. There are some people that will accept you for who you are, like me. The reason why people go out of their way to make you feel bad? Because they are idiots, bigots, people who push religion on you about it, or whatever, and you did nothing wrong. Bottom line is, be who you are, and don't let anyone change who you are. And no, it is none of their business.

people go out of their way to make everyone feel bad, not just you! Their are many people who are discriminated against for being different. Discrimination is childish, and i think that adults who feel superior to other people haven't grown up yet. We are just afraid of things that are different.

There is nothing wrong with you being a lesbian, lesbians are people too! so don't let those stupid comments get you down because you are so much better than that.

You have stumbled upon the basic secret of why some Gays stay in the closet and never come out. Society does not accept gays and probably never will. As to why they won't socialize with you is this: Men desperately strive to be seen as men and not wimps. Women desperately strive to be seen as a female capable of loving a man, being married and having children. Hanging out with a Lesbian is not the best way to get a good name for yourself and snagging a good man. What you do in the younger years will follow you throughout life. If a straight girl runs around with you, people will say, for the rest of her life that "She used to run around with a lesbian so she probably is one. Good luck. Pops

Lack of understanding often causes people to behave poorly. Once you get out of school and have a bit more control over where you live, etc., maybe things will be a little better. Still, those attitudes are not entirely avoidable (unfortunately).

These people are narrow minded and bigoted. Avoid them till you get out of school. Then find some decent friends. Good luck.

They weren't your friends in the first place. I was told that you can count your real friends on one hand & have fingers left over. On a lighter note, a friend is one who will bail you out of jail when you get in trouble. A real friend will be next to you saying, "That was awesome!"

If they don't want to be your friend now...where they ever really your friend? I would say you've actually lost nothing in this case. Now that you are out.... the friends you do make will accept you for you.

It is hard in school, when your mates abandon you for what you are. But don't let this get to you. As you grow older, you will have more mature friends who will understand you, and will not judge you. Do well in school so such haters can keep their big mouths shut about you.

It's wonderful you came out of the closet. This type of discrimination entails it, unfortunately. But hold your head up high because there are many others who will support you.
