My guess is Hurt.. They have played it at every NIN show I have attended. It would help to know some lyrics or where you heard it.

It could be 'the great below', since it's slow, has lyrics, and they play it live.
Otherwise, on the album 'downward spiral', it could be 'a warm place', or 'hurt' .If you mention what album , it would be better, but these three are slow.
