It depends on what you are wearing. For example:
Tank top: Trendy, especially if your top is blue and your straps are black or something. This is usually better with jeans than a short skirt, though.
dress: Trashy
t-shirt: Trashy
tube top: REALLY trashy

ABSOLUTELY not trashy in my opinion. It's really old-fashioned fashion/etiquette/dressing advice to say that bra straps should not show under any circumstance. One could also argue that it is discriminatory to women with larger cup sizes who often have to have broader straps on their bras for extra support, which have a higher chance of showing. It is also rather repressive--as in, oooh, don't let your bra straps show, people might think you're EASY *gasp*! Please. I thought we were allowing our girls a break from this nonsense.
I would say, at best, that it might disrupt from your outfit, or might not be as pretty (especially if the color clashes with the outfit, or there is some discoloration due to the bra being a bit worn). But that is more of an aesthetic consideration than one implying a broader judgment on the wearer's qualities or morals.

I think if you're wearing a tank top and your bra straps happen to show, that's perfectly fine. Most women wear a bra, and as long as you're not showing the breast area of the bra, and the amount that shows isn't done on purpose, I think it's ok. However, if you're wearing a t-shirt and the straps show as they're falling down your arm, that's trashy. Your bra shouldn't look like it's trying to jump off of your chest and run away.

It's not trendy but not trashy either to me....like sometimes if I'm wearing a tank top and I can't avoid my straps showing I'll wear the same color bra as the shirt so it blends sorta, I would rather that than go without a bra.

A bra strap accidently peeking out is one thing, but it's just plain trashy to "let" your bra straps show. With so many tanks and camis available with built-in bras there is no reason to put your bra straps on display. If need be, there are strapless bras. Wearing a regular bra with a tube or halter top is definitely wrong.

I honestly don't know ! I always wonder this because at my school we are not allowed to show our bra straps we have to wear an ugly green shirt if we do! So i don't think its trashy but i don't really think its something trendy either! Hope i helped you out!

TRASHY!
Every girl should have at least 4 different types of bras.
1. Criss-cross bra for tanks
2. Strapless bra for spaghetii straps and strapless.
3. Halter bra for you guessed it... Halters.
4. Regular bra for regular shirts/dresses

depends on what your wearing. If you are wearing a tank top, I would say trashy, however I wear a tube top and have really pretty rhinestone bra straps from Victoria's Secret and I let them show, and get compliments all the time. Overall anything like tank tops, halters, and things that are supposd to show off shoulders and backs should not have visible bra straps. Tube tops, if you have a pretty bra strap underneath look fine, becasue it looks like you are wearing a tank top or something underneath it.

Kinda trashy, if you don't have a strapless bra, at least wear a nude color bra so that the straps don't stand out as much.
