I travel the world alot, and currently own Verizon's Samsung i830 because of its capabilities of being able to dial other countries as well for the broadband internet? I was wondering does the broadband internet work overseas, and what will be the model replacement of this phone and when will it come! Verizon seems to keep tight knit about all their lastest phones, I wish they would cater to the global market a little more? I need a phone that can do allt he gadgets and giszmos in the US, as well overseas can someone help?

Currently all Verizon Wireless phone operate on CDMA technlogy here in the United States. If you travel globally to many countries then you will need a phone that operates on a GSM network frequency. At the moment Verizon Wireless has released a new phone that operates on CDMA as well as GSM technology. GSM technology requires a sim card on the back of any phone. The Verizon Wireless phone that has this capability is the Blackberry 8830 World Edition Smartphone. It cost $399.99 but you purchase it online you will get $100.00 online discount.

The broadband internet does work globally and it is called Global/Access Internet. It is probably not as fast as Verizon has spent on upgrading its system here in the United States. To read more about it, go to
