Is scoring more important than winning?

Kobe missed 23 games since Shaq left. Without Kobe, Lakers recorded 15 wins and 8 loses. Odom missed 46 games since joining the Lakers.

In the 2004-05 season, Odom played 64 games, winning 33; Kobe played 77 winning 28. It should also be noted that Odom played 15 games with his injury. And during that stretch, Lakers lost 11 games.

In the 2005-06 season, both Odom and Kobe played 80 games. But Odom had 45 wins and every Lakers win had Odom in it. Kobe missed out on 2, and Kobe had 43 wins.

In the 2006-07 season, Odom played 56 games, winning 34. And Kobe played 66 games, winning 30.

Odom has a 0.560 winning record, and Kobe has 0.453 winning record rounded up.

Odom is winner, not a scorer. Kobe is a loser, not a winner. Who is better?

From the averages of the past 3 years, it isn't even clear on who is the better player. They have nearly the same FG% and 3P% with Kobe taking twice more shots. Since Kobe holds the ball more, Kobe will have more TO and apg. RPG Odom wins. FT% Kobe win.

I think after this year when Lakers trade kobe,
every one will understand that he is a cancer.
Forget about his scoring, its his team play
and how he makes his teammates feel
that makes him the most overrated player

WINS are way better than points. Look at the SPURS. We don't have a Jordan or a Kobe. I think the SPURS put on the floor five Steve Nash minded players. Everybody just wants to win, whether that takes shooting, rebounding, defense, passing, setting a pick, or whatever contribution is needed.

The SPURS won this year BECAUSE we have no Kobe minded players.

Lamar Odem is better ,because without Kobe ,did u notice the "team " played better, just like when cleveland didnt have lebron in the lineup, they won. No one player can win by themsleves ,even jordan needed help , so ill take winning over scoring anyday
