Ok so here is the story. On June 7th Took a home pg test and it was positive. Took another one on June 9th also positive. I had a bad UTI and Yeast infection and went to see the dr on June 12th they ran a blood test that came back negative. I waited until this morning and tested again (June 16th) and this time the home test was negative (different type of test than the first two). What should I think?? Would the infections have caused a false positive reading? Or were the other tests wrong? Has anyone ever had this happen and still found out they were PG?

I do feel pregnant (tired, nausea, sore bbs etc.) I have a son who will be a year old in a week so I have been pregnant before. I am just confused. I am almost 2 weeks late now.

Everyone is different, if your blood test came back neg. then you are not pregnant.

NOTHIGN can turn a home test positive but HCG, not infections of any sort, not any other medications. Blood tests only detect complete units of HCG while urine tests collect even partials. It may be that your body is preparing for an early miscarriage and your numbers are dropping or just nto rising fast enough. If you haven't gotten a period or started bleeding within a week, go back to the doctors request another blood test.

Has your period started yet? Because if it has then it may be that you had an EARLY MISCARRIAGE. Normally it is not detectable because women tend to wait until they miss 5 days before taking a pg test. But, if the blood test shows negative, then I'm sorry, more likely than not, you aren't pregnant or (anymore).

If you had a blood test and it came back negative then your not pregnant. I would think the yeast infection caused a wrong result. Check with your doctor to see what he thinks.

with my 2nd child it never showed on a HPT. i had uti's constantly. so that could be a reason. the blood test are pretty accurate thats how i found out i was pregnant with her. also an ultrasound can see the little baby in there if there is one. get another blood test done to see if it shows anything. the hospital will do an ultrasound if you go in and explain to them what is going on. good luck.

If you used an early detection pregnancy test, it may have detected a chemical pregnancy (one that miscarries very early), so later tests might not pick up on that pregnancy.
If you don't get your period in the next week go back to the doctor for another blood test.

it is possible that the uti gave you a false result, but it is still possible that you are pregnant. i have heard of the fasle positive from uti.. so if the blood test was a - ,i doubt you are pregnant. are you late? are you experiencing other symptoms? again, if all those are no's, i think the uti was lying to you.

my step mother had taken multiple pregnancy tests and they cam out positive, but when she got her blood work done it was negative. they couldn't tell her why they came out postive just that it must have been an hormonal thing. it was actually very sad because her and my father wanted to start trying, but he had to get a reversal vesectomy. so i'd say it is possible that you are not pregnant.
