No need to get a female and try to breed them. No harm will come of it if you just allow him to build the nest.

Do you want to breed Betta's? If so do some research on them and then get the female. If not just let him be. They make bubble nests when they are happy and healthy.

i believ you can, i dont have any firts hand experience but i belive that you can add the female wait for spawning and then remove her, as the male will get aggressive to her after mating, but that is off the top of my head and im sure oters will have alot more valuable posts

If not, just let him do it

Perfectly normal betta behavior. You don't need to do or get him anything. I love when they get building, so focused. lol
