Time it to avoid traffic thru Phoenix and you can do it in 7-8 hours .
Basically from San Bernadino to Goodyear AZ you will be driving at 10-15mph above posted speed limits and then from Chandler AZ to Tucson you'll be doing the same so you can really cover a lot of ground in a very short time.

this is tricky. the mileage from point A to point B is approximately 400 plus miles. i'm not sure of the exact mileage but depending how you are driving (like alone or with another driver) and how fast you are both able & allowed, say 55 miles per hour maintained, i figure none-stop: 10.5 hours but, now, if you stop here & there, pit stops, gas, schmoozing, etc., it could take onwards & up to 12 hours (half a day). know what & FYI: the most time you'll lose is when you hit downtown LA with traffic & all. and here you thought this question asked would be a simple a-b-c answer, didn't you?

I drove from Tucson to L.A. I started at 2:00 PM and arrived at my destination at 11: PM, about 9 hours with stops for gas and a meal.
