I agree completely. In my opinion people that hate Classic Rock have never really given it a chance. Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, The Stones etc, this was my era... I have tried to look from another persons perspective and have listened to todays music and too be honest I just cant grasp a hold of it...
I probably cannot answer your question the way you wanted, but I can give you my thoughts. Todays artists say the same thing over and over... Our inspirations come from bands such as
The Who
The Stones
The Clash
The Beatles
Pink Floyd
The Eagles
The Doors
Bad Company
Black Sabbath
How ironic is it that todays music listeners are hating the very musicians that todays artists dedicate their work to?

Classic Rock is the only music I know of that is still popular 30 and 40 years after it was made. What other genre of music can, or could, make that claim? When I grew up in the 70's, music even 20 years old was very rare on the radio. These days you have Classic Rock stations all over the place.

I don't understand how people can hate all classic rock. If it weren't for classic rock, no music today would be the same, not just modern rock as we know it. I think even pop and other genres were affected by rock legends like The Beatles, Rolling Stones, etc.
I know that some people just don't like the way it sounds, but if you listen to some music today, you can hear that music influencing it. Classic rock was the first rock music to ever set foot on earth! People should respect that.

I agree, but you should realize that most people have never heard of those bands before! Thus, they stick to their new generation music, such as Fall Out Boy or something.
And the people that hate it don't actually know what they're thinking. They haven't actually listened to bands like The Rolling Stones or Led Zeppelin. But they think that it's old people stuff. They think they'll be like their fathers and mothers, all wrinkly and old. They can't handle such a thing.

I dont have any long explanation for you. The only thing I can say is that I am 15 and I listen to music that is twice ot three times older than me. Classic rock isnt dead and I dont think it will die, unless any FOB fan destroys every Led Zeppelin records on earth. BTW I dont like FOB. lol

I love it. But some people think that only things that are new and current are any good. I argued with aroomate one day because he started making fun of thr RUSH album I was listening to. "Stuff nowadays sound way better than that." I told him to get a life. Music is like whiskey: in alot of cases it gets better with age.

Because it's "old" and they can't listen to the same music their parents do. I myself love classic rock, it's the only thing I listen to. Jimmy Page, Keith Richards, Tony Iommi and Chuck Berry are my heroes.

Same reason some people hate RAP.
Wait no, everybody with taste hates RAP, must be some other type of music that is hated unjustifiably.
Grew up with it and still love the stuff, if I ever meet the people you speak of, I'll ignore them. for they probably listen to cRAP.
