Repeat after me:
"Bush is our President"
"Our President deserves our respect"
"Bush is never wrong"
"Bush is the smartest President we have ever had"
"Iraq has not been a disaster"

Link from the NYT:
BAGHDAD, June 10 — With the four-month-old increase in American troops showing only modest success in curbing insurgent attacks, American commanders are turning to another strategy that they acknowledge is fraught with risk: arming Sunni Arab groups that have promised to fight militants linked with Al Qaeda who have been their allies in the past.
critics of the strategy, including some American officers, say it could amount to the Americans’ arming both sides in a future civil war. The United States has spent more than $15 billion in building up Iraq’s army and police force, whose manpower of 350,000 is heavily Shiite. With an American troop drawdown increasingly likely in the next year, and little sign of a political accommodation between Shiite and Sunni politicians in Baghdad, the critics say, there is a risk that any weapons given to Sunni groups will eventually be used against Shiites. There is also the possibility the weapons could be used against the Americans themselves.

Many men come to join, the coaliticain forces and get food clothes training guns and ammunition and a few weeks later join al quaida and we were fighting them.
This whole war has been that. So why shouldn't this do the same thing.
I think I have it figured out. He arms them to get rid of them kind of like the Muslims wants the USA to have a civil war and kill each other. Most top leaders are assassinated.
most fighting men are killed and those captured are tortured to death which makes it difficult to recruit more men.
Soon the Muslims will start killing their religious leaders knowing they have been tricked by them.
Then it will be a simple take over by the governments who need oil. Most of us soldiers over there fighting are just poor farm boys. They have enough illegals to take over our jobs.
So they are just letting them exterminating each other.
And in Africa the Islamic forces are exterminateing the Africans. So this is taking care of the over population problem.

Because he is a complete sicko Republican, he has no knowledge of what old fat Cheney is telling him to do, he just does as he is told. He minds Cheney and everyone know Cheney likes people fighting because he has never been in any branch of service, he was drafted 5 times and told them he didn't have time to mess with any branch he was to busy running Haliburton to fool with the service. He has a mean devil mind , you can look at his sour face and see he cares not about our troops or how many death counts they are, he is warmonger, that couldn't fight his way out of a paper bag, They need to drop him off over Iraq and tell them here comes the man that is taking your peoples and or troops
lives , here is now, have at him.

I saw this story on several news stations.
Bush's plan is to get our enemy to help us fight their enemy.
I really don't know if Bush realizes the terrorists who
attacked New York were Sunni.
It's all quite jaw dropping.

to the guy who asked the first question:
we now give money to sunni groups - al quaeda is a sunni group.
there is no way that we send millions and billions to these groups and some of it is not used to kill our own guys.
bush is doing this because he is vastly out of his element, and is literally making this nonsense up as he goes along.
the war in iraq is no longer to win the hearts and minds of iraqis, but americans - which makes it all that much more pathetic.

This question has been asked by several others.
There was a solid radio interview given by a in-field US Army officer explaining the conditions the new Sunni support will entail and the safeguards put in place to keep the Bin Laden wannabes from stepping off again.
The Army isn't as stupid as you want to believe.
