The main point is that the southern states segregationist policy of separate but equal is inherently unequal. This ended the policy of segregation in public schools which I am fine with. However, liberal social engineers used this ruling to pursue policies where children were bused to schools to achieve integration where the government did not segregate the students. That caused much controversy and anger as it overstepped the authority of the government.

2)a Equal protection under the law regardless of race means that local governments cannot segregate students in schools by race.

very simple - you can't have kids go to school separated by race because it makes the separate schools basically unequal.

most schools are funded by property taxes.

schools are all same race.
why don't rules apply now.
