I personally do not agree with using a national language for teaching in anything BUT the proper way to speak the national language AS a language (phonetics, tenses, composition, and examples of prose and poetry).
Everything else shuld be taught in English.
Why? The school will use this opportunity to teach English if it is not the native language, sets its students in par with every person ever schooled in English on the subject being taught and increases his chances of success in life by being bi or multi lingual.
That does not say what is accepted practice all over the world in terms of education. Many countries are proponents of teaching every class in the native language. Hence the inability of their graduates to compete in the larger international world. Immediately, there is a problem, and that is communication in the larger playing field.

Let us look at the current job requirements regarding languages spoken for a multinational company.

....Preferably multilingual with fluency in English , one or two European and preferably 2 Asian languages. French, German, Spanish, Mandarin,Japanese and Cantonese.
