I had a roof built over our back deck. Ever since we a ton of flys that hover under the roof...as if to say they can't find their way out or like it. There are quite a few and they just fly and fly around. Does anyone know why or the best method to get rid of them? Thanks

Fly and bgs love meat? get a small piece of hanburger that you just started to cook, maybe the sibe of a table spoon, dont throw on the ground at all or you will have many other species you never new of before, but have the meat hang in a torn ziplock back or such, or go by one of those Be hanging units put some meat inside it, and hang it there, the bugs get into that Jar but dont get out then they cook from the sun, Let this hang near the same area the bugs or flys are now, but a little farher away from the doorway, in a day or two you should notice quite a difference.
Think about it, if there was a dead animal laying on the side of the road on a warm day, you would find lots of ants and FLYS swarming into the flesh among other Bugs also.

This ought to do the trick, if you use a baggy and they are still alive in the bag, then have some bug killer nearby, and give them a good shot when they all die, toss in garbage Walla!

In the Caribbean, many places hang up a gallon ziploc very full of water in the top of the doorway or window where they don't want flies to come in. Don't know why it works but it does. Otherwise, try Raid for flying insects or a flystrip.

You can buy a fly trap at the TRACTOR SUPPLY CO. It is dome shaped and works wonders. Maybe Home Depot or Lowe's have them too.
