I'm always my true self but my guard is always right there & ready.... People I don't know or trust never really know much about me because I choose not to share it...

Do you mean "you" as in a person? One usually lets their guard down when they feel safe and the person they are with is trustworthy. I have a friend that can coax secrets out of people within the first couple of times he talks to people because he seems very trustworthy. On the otherhand, I've know people for years with out them telling me some of their secrets.

As for me personally, I usually let my guard down with people that don't seem stupid or judgemental. I think most people are pretty trustworthy and wont break your confidence in them as long as they know that you are talking about a sensitive subject.

The more time I spend with somebody depends on that. The more I am with them and I see if they are hanging out with me for the right reasons, I will open up a LOT more, its usually not long until it starts though, probably a month or 2

I am a very loving person & also a very withdrawn person!
A lot of people think they know me. I appear to be very open but, I hide many insecurities and scars.
I'm feeling very vaulnerable about now.

This *is* me.
I am pretty up front about my walls... they tumble when they tumble. It's very often (I think) being aware of our walls that allows us to lower them... like the acknowledgment is part of the tearing down. Clear as mud? Best I can do right now :)

24/7 every day--that's why my blood pressure is 90/60 and I look 20 years younger than I am!

One relationship phase later than you think you should ;)

People tend to divulge way too much WAY too soon.

Better to take it slow and save exposing your vulnerabilities until you know the person is trustworthy.

Only with my two best friends, and we've known each other so long that there are never any surprises, never any need to hide.
