I have a 2000 Chevy Blazer also and it sounds like the power steering, but I would check with a mechanic.

You may be losing power steering fluid, or your power steering belt needs to be replaced. Sometimes, they could wear down and possibly dry rot. I had this problem about a year ago. If they tighten the belt, you're sure to have the same problem in the near future

you need to check the power steering fluid in it,they will do this when they get low on fluid, that may be all that's wrong with it,it can also be the power steering pump going out on it but it being that new of a model i would try the fluid level first, good luck with it.

Check the power steering fluid, first. If not that, the belt may be loose. If it is loose, a mechanic will fix for cheap. Power fluid, you could get at your locar automobile store. If problem still exists, take to mechanic, because it could be the tie rod, and that is serious.
