trying out for the JV team.

any tips on how to make it to the team?

I have a good feeling I'm gonna make it.
My coah talked to me today about going to a camp at a nearby university. He said that I should go so that I get challanged and get pushed harder to do my best.
so any tips? or advice? or anything to help me calm down?

I was a coach for many years and looked at hundreds of players trying out for my teams. I never paid too much attention to how a player would swing the bat or how good they were with the glove. Fundamentals of the game can be taught. However, you can not teach foot speed and how strong a throwing arm the player has, and that is what I was looking for. My suggestion to you would be to run as fast as you can during all running drills and throw the ball as hard as you can during all the throwing drills. Don't worry if you are not able to hit the ball well, they will teach you how to become a better hitter. Go give it your best and good luck to you.

Practice and condition yourself daily.

Do running, stretching, and cardio. Try to get to a batting cage several times a week to work on your swing and timing.
