who has time to watch the clothes wash?

Usually someone would choose a front loader because with no agitator your clothes do not get stretched or twisted. A top loader usually is less expensive for that reason. They do make top loaders now without agitators for a little more money.
But to answer the question..... always more fun to wash the clothes wash :)

I like both, and both do their job, I prefer top load because sometimes I like to soak clothes, especially my hubbys clothes with diseal on them! Also you can use a top load if you need to dye clothes.

I would say front load, if you wanna see them get washed.
That's what laundromats have usually.
