I think i have an ear infection, i have had them b4 and was given oral nti biotics, but it just keeps coming back. Anyway im going on monday, but for now what can i do cos its driving me up the wall, it doesnt really hurt, just itches and i can feel the pressure change all the time. Ive been itching it with roled up loo roll, which i know i probably shouldnt but it feels so nice lol!! Tho actually hurts a bit too when i scratch certain bits. Someone at work said to put littl bits of ice in my ear nd let the water drip down, i did this and it did stop it itching for a tiny bit but made me really dizzy? Anyone got any suggestions?

Yup! Sounds like Otitus Externia. Or infection of the outer ear. It needs ear drops.

Sometimes fungal infections not too dissimilar to thrush erupt in the ear....get it checked out at the Doctors.

You actually shouldn't put anything smaller than your elbow in your ear! I do sympathize as I have this all the time too. It only takes a shower or swim and get water in your ear and off you go again! The dizziness is because it is now altering your balance due to the swelling, go get it sorted....

DONT put water or ice in your ear....it will make it worse

My dog did something like that (she's dead now, not from this though lol) she had a yeast infection type of thing which caused her ears to itch loads to the point where there was actually blood. Take her to the vet and you'll probably get some ear drops to help her with the irritation. =]

Some people claim a few drops of olive oil will go a long way to clearing up an ear infection.

There are natural ear drops you can buy online called OTOSAN that break up ear wax as well as kill germs in the ear. Using this regularly may keep ear infections away.

Dont mess with ears you can get some real bad dizzy stuff get to a doctor straight away. Dont wet your ears as this makes itching worse. Try a bit of warm olive oil on your bad days its not harmful nor like water. it wont make you dizzy.

I've had itchy ears for years and the best solution I've found is this. Be sure to dry your ears well after your shower. I use a Q tip but don't go in deep. Once it's very dry, I use a fresh Q tip and apply mineral oil to the area. You could also use Vaseline. Keeping the ear lubricated helps.
