I had one come to the bus stop the other day. I'd seen her before. She's sexy. At least on the outside. I bet getting to know her and she's a nutcase.
I just listen a tiny bit, then say "Sorry, I'm not interested." People tend to leave me alone after that. They get that they're not going to achieve anything whatsoever.
I sort of like rejecting these people along with their Mormon equivalents.
The Mormons seem worse though. At least JWs don't dress the same and wear badges that say "elder" even though they're like 19 years old.

Happens all the time, Jehovah's Witness, Mormon's, the local Baptist church, other solicitors. I open the door and the second I see they are trying to solicit I say "I am not interested" and close the door. My husband says I am rude, but I don't need someone knocking on my door...if I want something I will go buy it, if I need another religion I will seek it.
He will stand outside and entertain their dribble for a while...not me. =)

Only once in my life did they come a-knockin'. They asked me if I read the Bible, and I suppose I should have had them answer their own question first, and which translation of course. It turned into about an hour of apologetics both ways, and I suppose I won that one because even though we got nowhere, I did prevent them from going to somebody else's house and confusing them with logical fallacies and scriptural error.

A tinted van came driving up and just sat facing us for a few minutes I was a little wierded out, they got out and came up to me and gave me a pamphlet (they didnt speak english they spoke korean) I am korean but dont speak it I was adopted so they gave me info and said how cute my son was and drove away and 5 min later came back (I was still outside) And they asked where I lived because someone who speaks english would come talk to me later.. I was like uhhh... and told them I lived on the 2nd floor in the back (which is an empty apt.) I felt bad but geeze.. I was a little scared haha

Yes.................I open the door and politely but firmly inform them I have my own beliefs..I do not invite a discussion, I smile, say have a nice day and close the door.
I do not feel the need to be rude unless they get pushy and rude first.
Heck, life is too short and why ruin someone's day as well as your own by being rude...

I opened the door and talked with them a while and took their pamphlet and they went away.
They are not the bad people say they are. They are simply trying to spread the word.
They could do worse than to actually accomplish that goal..

I knew someone who was tired of the "knockin," so one day he came to the door with his gun and a rag, and told them he was just cleaning his weapon, come on in. Needless to say, no more "knockin."

One time at home I was in the bathroom so they stuck a paper in the door. One time at a friend's house they gave her a paper, talked a little, and left.

Yes, I politely accepted the leaflets they gave me, told them that I was a muslim and would never think of converting, thanked them for coming and then they went and knocked on my neighbour's door.
