You are wrong.Reciprocal of 1/3 is 3
To get the reciprocal of a fraction just flip the expression i.e make the numerator the denominator and the denominator of the old fraction the numerator and you get your reciprocal
Reciprocal of 5/27=27/5
reciprocal of -3 or -3/1 is 1/-3 or -1/3
reciprocal of w/r=r/w
reiprocal of 1/3=3/1 or 3
reciprocal of -1/3=3/-1 or -3/1 or-3

Reciprocal of x is what you have to multiply x by to get 1. So the reciprocal of 1/3 would be 3, which would make the answer (e)

The reciprocal is simply the number 1 divided by the expression given. In your case, it is 1 divided by 1/3 which is 3. The answer is e, none of these.

If you learn what a reciprocal is, you can forget division forever.

For almost any number you give me, I can give you a number than when you multiply your number and mine, you get 1. The number I give you is the reciprocal of the number you give me. Your number is the reciprocal of the one I give you.

A lot or people think of a reciprocal of a number as "one over" the number. Some people think of it as the number "flipped upside down." Those are just crutches.

Here are some examples.
If you give me 3, I'll give you 1/3. . . . because (3/1)x(1/3)=3/3=1
If you give me 1/(3x-5), I'll give you 3x-5.. . . because [1/(3x-5)][(3x-5)/1) = (3x-5)/(3x-5) = 1
If you give me -3/5, I'll give you -5/3. . . because (-3/5)x(-5/3)=15/15=1

Some people, who don't know as much about math as you now do, call multiplying by a reciprocal of a number, "division by" that number. For example, multiplying by the reciprocal or 3, 1/3, is called "diving by 3."

BUT... I said I can give you a reciprocal for ALMOST any number.

The number 0 (zero) has the unique property that whatever you multiply it by, you get 0. -7x0=0. (1/5)x0=0. 1,000,000x0=0.

Because of that property, there is no number you can multiply by 0 to get 1. Therefore, 0 has no reciprocal. And because it has no reciprocal, those people who don't know as much about math as you now do, say, "you can't divide by zero." But you now know why.

So what number would you multiply by 1/3 to get 1? That's the reciprocal of 1/3.

1/3 will become 3 if we take reciprocal. Since that is not shown, e is the answer.

none of these
the reciprocal is when you switch the numerator with the denominator, so it will be 3 over 1
