i treated a friend really terribly over the course of a few months. It was a really stressful time in my life and I very inappropriately said a LOT of hurtful this I didnt mean. I miss his friendship and although we are still speaking. He NEVER calls me anymore and I occasionally email. I want to be close again and have apologized profusely. What else should I do? I was a REAL JERK. He had romantic feelings for me and I really just trampled them and exploited the situation. HELP! One last thing, now I think I actually like him too.

Give him and yourself time, then what will be will be.

Send him a letter. Tell him of all the stress you were under and tell him that you know you were a real jerk. Ask him for his forgiveness and tell him that you miss him very much. Then give him the space he needs to make a decision. The ball is in his court. After that you cannot do anymore, the rest will be up to him. Good luck.

Sometimes we hurt the ones we love the most.

a tad embarrassing to feel excited about another man eh so you reacted badly well you must beexactly honest with yourself about your sexuality do not get caried away and then regret doing acts you may find difficulty living with then you must be exactly honest with the other person and tell them you were confused about the signals you were getting between the bth of you you were stressed and confused right he will either forgive you accept that you are telling the truth or you must accept that life and friendships move in and out like the tide god bless you

Call him immediately and apologize for being an azz. Simple as that. Tell him that you were under a lot of stress, and while that's no excuse, it is an explanation.
Then ask him to come to lunch or dinner with you so that you can talk face to face.
Then---start treating him respectfully.

You said sorry, that is all you can do. Try to keep the lines of communication open and stay loyal. All that can really heal something like this is time. Make sure your actions are as real as your words!!

Live and learn.

People can accept a lot of abuse from uncaring, self-absorbed, or oblivious friends. But once that "full load" alarm goes off... that is usually it.

You've already apologized, that's all you can do. He's just had enough.

Tell him that you made a huge mistake and you miss his friendship. Call him a lot more and try to hang out more often! Once you are hanging out than you can talk face to face about your problems.

Tell him this. Email him again with what you've said here. Don't rehash everything you did -- just apologize and say you'd really like to try again. Ask for his forgiveness.

And if he doesn't come around, I'm sorry. :-( I hope you two can work it out!!

Ah, the most you can do is apologize. It's his decision whether or not to accept it. Everyone makes mistakes. If he doesn't want to be your friend anymore then just move on.

Have you told him everything that you just put in this question? Tell him the things you've said here and ask for his forgiveness. After that it's in the hands of your higher power.
