Sharpton and his co-conspirator, Jesse Jackson, are both racists, believing that blacks can do no wrong and whites are always wrong. There's no rainbow coalition; Sharpton and Jackson want to keep the racial divides because it gives them visibility, power, influence and wealth. You will hear no public apology from Sharpton or Jackson; racism runs rampant in this country because of their prejudices, bigotry and bias. -RKO- 06/16/07

Al Sharpton is out of control. He acts like Blacks can do no wrong.
As far as the Duke LaCrosse players go. What were they doing with a stripper and booze and drugs. They may not of had intercourse with the girl. But lets be realistic some touchy feely took place. The kid on the stand was a real good actor.

College is where we really learn about life. Drinking, drugs, sex, used to be limited to college age persons but now it's in high school as well.
Don't blame drugs/sex/drinking on college guys because that's part of what college is about. I did it when I was there and it caused me to flunk out a few times. Finally I got a grip and got serious and graduated and got a fantastic job.
Al Sharpton is not going to aplogize. He merely want's exposure and the $$$$$$$$$$ that it brings. Al and Jesse are millionaire's living off poor people.
The Bible, and it is "Rev Al" right............says donot create an occassion for your brother to fall. Yet Al made certain that he raised enough heck to get Imus fired.
Took away Imus' means of making a living, not to mention the embarassment, which he'll have to live with forever.
The Duke guys..........destroyed and they'll never forget. A black chick accused them of something they did not do. The forensic evidence proved that.
Jesse Jackson fathered a child out of wedlock. But blacks said..."so what". 70% of all blacks are born out of wedlock.

I don't think he has. Al Sharpton is quick at accusing and doesn't know how to apologize, it seems. I just don't understand why he has to be the "moral police" whenever something huge happens like the Don Imus incident or the Virginia Tech shooting or the Paris Hilton matter. Why do people even want to listen to him in the first place?

Not that I know of and I wouldn't hold your breath for one. He's hoping everybody will just forget about it. I wonder why he's not defending Nifong, or maybe I don't wonder why. Now Sharpton is trying to turn Paris Hilton going to jail into a racial thing when it's clearly a class/money/celeb issue. He needs to stop sticking his foot in his big mouth.

Why should he? These boys were out of control and broke all team rules including the school rules and even if they didn't rape the stripper, underage consumption and taking of illegal drugs is against the law. They were not punish for these at all and it sends the wrong message. This is why some people are charged with the lesser crimes first til the case for the bigger crime is made. This time public outcry caused a rush to judgment but should not have excused these boys of their crimes. These boys need to apologize to the school and their families for their behavior. Ask that before you ask Al for an apology
