I agree with fi ♠, humankind is the worse equasin.
Make a human drunk, you have a crisis on your hands. Give a drunk human a gun, RUN BEFORE HE SHOOTS!
However, give a sober human a gun, he would likely look at you like 'what's this for'
A drunk human is the most dangrerous

I say alcohol because it takes away common sense which I think everyone would agree is a good thing to have around fire-arms. On the gun issue alone I personally like Eddie Izzard's solution to the problem of gun violence. Stop selling ammunition. There will always be guns available but if there are no bullets there will be no innocent victims caught in the cross-fire. The gun carriers can beat each other senseless but that's about it.

Guns are more dangerous.
Gun use is black & white...there is no room for debate: Any time a gun is fired, it is fired to KILL. (Except for at firing ranges, where you are practicing to shoot to kill.)
Any time a person tips a drink to his mouth, he does so for a myriad of reasons...to party, to relax, to celebrate, to drown his sorrows. It's true that when you get drunk, you have less control over your actions...however, not all of these people get violent. I'd say the majority of people just act foolish. And foolish is not lethal.
Also, it is true that an alcoholic will always be an alcoholic, but alcoholics can live successfully in sobriety for decades.
With guns, it's all over once that trigger is pulled.

Drinking is more dangerous in two ways,
A) Just like you said you can't control your actions and who knows what might happen if you get upset and there's a weapon around..
B) It makes your liver as solid as a rock and alcoholism is a disease that can never be cured, Thus, an alcoholic is always an alcoholic whether they stop drinking or not.

Both are dangerous if not handled properly. If handled properly and, with alcohol, not to excess, both are safe. But, out of the two, I'd say guns are more dangerous. After all, they were meant to kill and harm living beings.

I would say guns. A gun can kill someone a lot faster than would any alcohol related illness.

I think drunk .357 Magnum's would be the worse. Try to picture the damage an intoxicated Smith & Wessen could inflict.
