A 4 year old girl died today. The rushing waters ripped the child from her mothers arms.
There will be a lot more than "moaning" in that household.
Even when there is no loss of life it can still be very painful. You are obviously unaware of the devistation water can bring. We aren't talking about clean water. And every thing stays wet for days. So the family ends up with no clothes or furniture due to mildew. Family photographs gone.
It's a lot more than "a bit of water."

That is not cool cookie!
In some cases it went into their houses and ruined their carpets and furniture. They can't swim cos the water harbours bugs such as listeria and cholera.
I just hope that doesn't happen to you in the future.

Well, the water destroys people cars, houses, belongings, etc..
Also, I wouldn't recommend swimming in flood water. There's usually sewage, chemical runoff from fields, and a bunch of other nasty stuff that will make people sick.

Mrs. Farsworth, my neighbour, is worried because of the old Noah and the Ark story. She knows that two of every animal will go on the ark (two is as high as she can count) and she's afraid that God will sneak into her barn and steal her "babies".

"bit" is just like a drop or the water in your tub! but if the water outside your house rises knee, or sometimes chest high then that would be a big issue wouldn't it?

Let's get a blow up raft!
But floods are bad, they kill people. Ruin towns, belongings, families...if only we could go swimming...
