I know "Time After Time" by Cindy lauper.
It's been remade by Uncle Cracker and that version can be found on the Clockstoppers Soundtrack.
And it's been remade by Quiet Drive, and that version plays in the movie John Tucker Must Die.

QELERY=THIS QUESTION THAT YOU HAVE ASKED ABOUT , I THINK ONE HAS TO READ BETWEEN THE LINES TO YOU QUESTION . THE FIRST THING I NOTICE IS THAT YOU ARE SAYING THAT ITS A ROCK SONG , IF THIS IS THE CASE THEN " TIME AFTER TIME" THE VERSION OF CYNDI LAUPER IN 1984 CANNOT BE THE ONE AS THIS ONE IS A BALLARD IN 1993 THE SAME SONG WAS SANG BY HYPERSTATE 1N 1998 SAME SONG BY =CHANGING FACES, SO I DO NOT THINK IT WAS ANY OF THEM . NOW YOU MENTION ITS A ROCK SONG ABOUT 2 YEARS AGO , WELL THE ONLY TWO SONGS TO BE RELEACE WITH THE TITLE OF "TIME AFTER TIME" WAS NOT A BALLARD , IT WAS A REALLY ROCK SONG , WAS BY A GROUP CALLED"
" DISTANT SOUNDZ THIS GROUP was a u.k base it was release in 2003 on the incentive label number cent 36CD NOW THE ONE I THINK IT IS by a group called "NOVA SPACE" THIS GROUP is a rock group and they are from Germany this one is nothing like Cyndi Lauper it is a sort of rock and roll song with the name of "TIME AFTER TIME" AND IT MADE NUMBER 9 IN THE U.K CHARTS , IN THE YEAR OF 2004 on the label MOS/SUBSTANCE number SUBS/15.C.D .

Prince and Cyndi Lauper did the song in the 80s.

Mid-90s or so, Ozzy did a song by that name but it is way different than the 80s pop song.

Actually, it's a pop song from the 80's by Cindy Lauper that was remade recently. There's also a song by the same title done by Ozzy Osbourne, but it's completely different.
