Most accidents I see involve white haired ladies or hunched back men. Should an age be selected rather than passing a written test and haphazard eye test? I'm willing to give up my driving freedom at 65.

NO YOU WON"T! you just SAY that cuz you aren't even CLOSE to that age...more accidents are caused by YOUNG drivers and mostly males - but, now with everybody glued to the cell phone, it's pretty even...and I have YET to see a white haired lady or hunch backed man using one while driving! and NO I'm not close to 65 EITHER! I think the driving age in Cali should start at 18 or over since the brain isn't fully developed until 26!!! hahaha me still workin on dat!

I think after like the age 60 they should be required to take the written and driving test again, then have to do the driving test like every 5 years, cause I fully agree with you. It is a fact the the elderly have the safest driving records but they Cause the most accidents

I don't believe there should be a maximum age, or a minimum age for that matter. The testing process in place is a bit ridiculous, though, a sentient plant could pass most current tests. Road test every 10 years for everyone, IMO.

I would imagine you are very young are being silly. You would have removed driving privledges from Colin Powell 5 years ago, as well as Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Dick Cheney, Al Pacino, Jack Nicklaus, Martin Sheen, and Tina Turner. Starting at age 70 people should be given road tests every couple of years to determine proficiency. If you want to cut down on automobile deaths you would have to raise the minimum driving age and make it later for men. It is young males who have the most accidents and are the most frequent drivers who drink and drive
