If you are referring to today's NHL - San Jose would have to be up there, as would Anaheim and Ottawa

If you are referring to all-time. The Philadelphia Flyers of 1974-75 engaged in almost 300 fights, and only lost about 20. And many of those guys could play the game.

While a scout for the Black Hawks, I got them to draft the late Keith Magnuson, and while leading the NHL with a then record 291 minutes in 1971..........I don't think he won a single fight

well if you try and name any team in today's NHL well they would be jokes to teams like the Broad street bullies (Flyers) of the 70's but the team that can take that tittle for sure is also a team of the 70's the Montreal Canadiens with players such as Larry "Big Bird" Robinson, Ferguson, Savard etc. the Flyers would atimadate the other teams and players for the past few years, and Scotty Bowman the greatest coach of all time came up with a plan to stop the Flyers bulliing of the teams. it was beat them at their own game and they Habs did it twice that year once in a pre-season game and there was Flyers players laying all over the ice as the Habs kicked their you know what, then again later in that same year same resultes. the best story of all is Larry Robinson had skate problems so he was in the dressing room when a brawl broke out but he seen it on the T.V in the room so he put his skate back on and ran to the ice and there was Shulzty in the center of the ice rink and Larry Robinson went right after him and kicked his a-s-s big time. and that was the end of the Broad Street Bullies and the Habs went on to win 4 straight Stanley Cup's.

I think the Avalanche/Red Wings animosity over the Draper incident deserves an honorary mention. The game where Claude got his was probably the nastiest hockey fight I've ever seen. I also give props to Tie Domi for beating up that Flyer's fan. I'm from philly and all, but I hafta admit it was highly entertaining to see the look on that chump's face when he fell into the penalty box.

The Rangers combat the main. however the Bruins are the toughest team little question. With a 6'4 PF in Lucic that would not lose fights. And a 6'9 defenseman. you have a exceptionally good difficult team. Cant forget approximately Marchand and Thornton the two !

I would have to say Ottawa is up there, but a lot of teams could have a good argument in favor of their team, though not Detroit. For Ottawa, there is Neil, McGratton, Emery who are the tough fighters, but guys like Fisher who don't fight too often, usually embarrass their opponent when they do fight. Like Fisher vs. Getzlaf in the finals, and of course there are other times when Fisher actually had a tough opponent.

Broad street bullies(74-75)Philadelphia Flyers.Their coaches motto;Take the shortest possible route to the puck, and arrive in a bad mood.Fighting in hockey now is like wrestling, the guys drink with each other after the game.Hockey used to be like jungle warfare. The teams hated and mistrusted each other. The NHLPA was created in that culture of divisiveness and that is why it was so easy for the owners to break it.

Anaheim led the league in fighting majors. As far as this 86%, according to who? Half of the fights that happen are draws anyway so I question that figure. Also, Anaheim had BY FAR the most majors. Yes, SJ is a tough team but I'd go Anaheim still.

Anaheim ducks.

71 fighting majors this season, I think the team with the second most was nashville and they only had 40 or so.
